Closed Loop Recycling System
Shoe factories trim our fabric and separate whites from colors in different collection bags we provide them.
When the volume reaches approximately two tons, the shoe factory contacts us to arrange collection.
After collection, we double-check the separation is done correctly. We make sure there is no contamination and begin consolidating from other factories and store them.
When our volume is collectively at approximately 10 tons, we send the scrap textile to the fiber recycler.
We buy the recycled fiber from that same company as if it were virgin material.
Thus the loop is completed.
Waterless Dye
A coloring process which contains no water reducing energy usage and Carbon Dioxide emissions.
Processing of 10,791,370 mass kgs reflected savings of 59,999,879 kW of Electricity; 107,914 tons of water; and Carbon Dioxide reduction of 303,000 tons. Our goal at Cosmo is to continue to increase these savings each year to reduce our impact on the environment.
